Nilo / Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026.

Nilo: Routine Protector is operated by Lemos Navegacao e Transporte Fluvial Ltda, CNPJ 60.197.642/0001-54, Brazil. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Nilo iOS app or visit these legal pages.

1. Your routine and Screen Time

Your habits, completion history, strength, settings, and session information are stored on your device. Nilo does not require an account. Your name and other onboarding answers are held temporarily during onboarding and are not sent to our analytics or subscription providers.

With your permission, Nilo uses Apple's Screen Time features to restrict the apps, categories, or web domains you select. Selection tokens stay on your device. We do not send the identities of your selected apps or domains, browsing history, or habit names to PostHog or RevenueCat. You can manage Screen Time permission in iOS settings.

2. iCloud backups

When iCloud is available, Nilo can automatically save changed routines in your private iCloud database. Backups include habits, completion history, strength, and your week-start preference. They exclude onboarding answers, Screen Time selections, your time ceiling, today's time spent, and running sessions.

Nilo keeps up to five backups, replacing the oldest as new backups are saved. Restore is manual in Settings. Backups do not expire on a fixed schedule and may remain after you remove the app. The app currently has no delete-all-backups control; contact us for help with available iCloud storage controls.

3. Purchases

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat helps us manage subscription access and restore purchases, using a generated app-user identifier, product and transaction details, subscription status, and technical app/device information. We do not receive your full payment card details or send RevenueCat your routine, name, or email as customer attributes.

See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's SDK privacy information.

4. Usage analytics

We use PostHog to understand and improve Nilo. Analytics records app openings, onboarding progress, paywall taps, Screen Time permission outcomes, selection and habit counts, habit-completion events, requested session minutes, and reasons an access request cannot proceed. Events include a random installation identifier, app version, iOS version, and device model.

This data is pseudonymous, not fully anonymous. It does not include your name, onboarding answers, habit names, or selected app identities. We do not enable session replay or advertising tracking in this integration. PostHog is configured to discard client IP addresses from analytics records and disable IP-based geolocation enrichment; network information is still processed to handle connections.

We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding usage and improving Nilo for this limited analytics, where permitted by applicable law. Analytics runs automatically in release builds, without an in-app analytics switch. You may object to this processing by contacting us; we assess objections under applicable law.

5. Use, sharing, and international processing

We use information to provide app features, administer subscriptions, answer support requests, improve Nilo, and meet legal obligations. Relevant legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligations, according to the activity and applicable law. If you email us, we receive your address and the information you provide to answer your request.

Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, and our email provider process information needed for their services. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect legal rights. RevenueCat and our PostHog service process information in the United States; other providers may process it in other countries. Transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

These legal pages use no analytics or advertising cookies. The website host processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the pages.

6. Retention and your rights

Local information remains until changed or removed through the app or operating system. iCloud backups follow the five-backup replacement rule above. Analytics and purchase records follow the relevant providers' retention arrangements, service needs, and applicable legal requirements. Support correspondence is retained for handling requests and related legal obligations. Removing Nilo does not automatically erase provider records or cloud backups, and archiving a habit does not delete it.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, information about sharing, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and complain to a competent authority, including Brazil's ANPD. Requests are subject to applicable exceptions and reasonable verification. We may need additional information to locate records associated with a random identifier.

7. Age, security, and changes

Nilo is intended for users age 13 and older. Parent or guardian involvement may be required for minors under applicable law. Contact us about a child's information or any privacy concern.

We limit data collection and rely on platform and provider security controls. No system guarantees absolute security. We may update this policy and will communicate material changes as required by law.
